Privacy.
The short,
honest version.

This is a personal site. I collect very little, I sell nothing, and everything I do collect is listed below in plain language.

What this site collects

Analytics. I use Google Analytics 4 to understand what people read here — pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you found the site. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) that hold a random identifier so repeat visits count as one visitor. I see aggregated reports, not you personally. For details on how Google processes this data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses as part of delivering pages and protecting against abuse, per Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Email. If you email me, I get your email address and whatever you write. That's it — there are no forms, accounts, or newsletters here today.

What this site doesn't do

Your choices

Block or clear cookies in your browser and the site works exactly the same. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. This site doesn't currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals — blocking cookies achieves the same result.

Want to know what analytics data exists about your visits, or want it gone? Email me and I'll sort it out. User-level analytics data expires automatically under Google Analytics' retention settings; only aggregate numbers persist.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the update appears on this page with a new effective date at the top. The history lives in the site's public changelog.
